Torque Release Technique®

The Torque Release Technique® (TRT) is a specialized tonal-based Chiropractic method developed to improve spinal function and overall health. It was created by Dr. Jay Holder in the 1990s and addresses Primary Subluxation, which reduces spinal cord tension and nerve root irritation in a shorter amount of time, with longer lasting effects.

The founding of TRT was driven by the need for a precise, reproducible, and gentle method of adjusting the spine. It is the only Chiropractic Technique that was developed out of a randomized clinical trial, blinded and with a placebo.

The Integrator™ reproduces the entire thrust and movement components of toggle recoil, the classic Chiropractic method of adjusting by hand at a speed of 1/10,000th of a second.

SPECIFIC Through specific neurological-based testing, TRT pinpoints the exact segment on the spine that requires an adjustment. The adjustment is delivered with the spine in a perfectly relaxed, neutral position with the perfect amount of force from the Integrator™.

GENTLE TRT uses a precise, low-force adjusting instrument called the Integrator™ to deliver controlled adjustments to the spine. This instrument fires at an optimal force, frequency of energy, torque, speed and thrust to normalize nerve function.

FAST Fast, shallow impulses at a speed of 1/10,000th of a second is the key to the effectiveness of this adjustment.

RECOIL This "bounce" in the impulse allow for a greater thrust outcome with less force and enhances the body's natural healing response by accurately targeting the affected area.

TORQUE The specific torque helps to precisely realign spinal subluxations by addressing the 3-dimensional aspects of misalignments and maximizes the effectiveness on the human body.

RELIABLE The Integrator’s design allows for controlled, low-force adjustments that target specific spinal misalignments with accuracy, reducing the risk of overcorrection or discomfort. The technique’s use of torque ensures that adjustments address misalignments in multiple dimensions, enhancing the alignment and function of the spine.

CONSISTENT TRT and the features of the integrator™ are standardized, ensuring consistent adjustments. The pre-cocking pressure sensitive tip with an automatic release mechanism allows for true inter-professional reproducibility. The technique's reliance on scientific principles and advanced instrumentation provides a reproducible method that has demonstrated success in improving patient outcomes.
